How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you how much to take. For adults, it's usually 100 mg or 140 mg once a day. For children, the dose depends on their body weight.

Method

Take the tablets whole with or without food, at the same time each day. Do not crush, divide, or chew them.

Important

Your doctor will determine your maximum daily dose based on your condition and how you respond to the medicine.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Infections (e.g., bacterial, viral, fungal, pneumonia, herpes, upper respiratory, serious blood infections)
  • Breathing problems (shortness of breath, cough)
  • Stomach and digestion issues (diarrhea, feeling sick, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, heartburn, mouth sores, changes in taste or appetite, weight changes, inflamed stomach lining)
  • Skin and general body issues (rash, fever, swelling of face/hands/feet, headache, tiredness, weakness, bruising or bleeding, dry or itchy skin, acne, skin tingling, hair loss, sweating, blurred vision, dry eyes, depression, trouble sleeping, dizziness, general body swelling)
  • Pain (joint pain, muscle weakness, chest pain, pain in hands/feet, chills, stiff muscles or joints, muscle cramps)
  • Lab test changes (low blood cell counts like platelets or white blood cells, anemia, fluid around lungs or heart, abnormal heart rhythms, high uric acid in blood)
RARE
  • Serious heart problems (heart attack, inflammation around the heart, very low or high blood pressure in the lungs), asthma, pancreas inflammation, stomach ulcers, severe allergic reactions
  • Nervous system problems (anxiety, confusion, mood changes, fainting, tremors, vision changes including partial/complete vision loss, hearing loss, seizures, stroke, memory loss, dementia, facial paralysis)
  • Kidney issues (including diabetes, kidney damage), blocked intestines, bone damage (osteonecrosis), delayed growth in children
  • Blood clots in the lungs or other blood vessels, inflammation of blood vessels or tendons

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Dasatinib Krka if you are allergic to dasatinib or any of its ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you take blood thinners or medicines that prevent blood clots.
  • Inform your doctor if you have or have had liver or heart problems.
  • If you have trouble breathing, chest pain, or cough while taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately. This could be a sign of fluid in your lungs.
  • Do not take antacids (like aluminum or magnesium hydroxide) within 2 hours before or after taking Dasatinib Krka.

  • Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice during your treatment.
  • This medicine should not be used during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Stop breastfeeding while taking this medicine.
  • Be careful when driving or using machines if you feel dizzy or have blurred vision.
