How to Use

Dosage

Take one 600 mg Darunavir Stada tablet with 100 mg ritonavir, twice a day.

Method

Always take Darunavir Stada with food. Swallow the tablets whole with a liquid, such as water or milk. The type of food does not matter.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg Darunavir (two 600 mg tablets) along with 200 mg ritonavir.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, stomach bloating, indigestion, gas
  • Headache, tiredness, dizziness, drowsiness, numbness, tingling or pain in hands and feet, weakness, trouble sleeping
RARE
  • Chest pain, changes in ECG, fast heartbeat, heart attack, slow heartbeat, palpitations
  • Reduced or abnormal skin sensation, tingling, attention disorder, memory loss, balance problems, vision disturbances
  • Breathing difficulties, cough, nosebleeds, throat irritation, runny nose
  • Stomach or mouth inflammation, heartburn, retching, dry mouth, abdominal discomfort, constipation, burping, oral ulcers, blood vomiting
  • Kidney failure, kidney stones, difficulty urinating, frequent or abundant urination, sometimes at night, darunavir crystals in kidneys causing kidney disease
  • Hives, severe swelling of skin and other tissues (often lips or eyes), eczema, excessive sweating, night sweats, hair loss, acne, flaky skin, nail discoloration, dry skin, skin lesions
  • Muscle pain, muscle cramps or weakness, limb pain, osteoporosis, stiffness in muscles or joints, joint pain with or without inflammation
  • Underactive thyroid gland, high blood pressure, hot flashes
  • Red or dry eyes, fever, swelling in legs due to fluid retention, malaise, irritability, pain, chills, abnormal feeling
  • Infection symptoms, herpes simplex
  • Erectile dysfunction, breast enlargement, sleep problems, drowsiness, depression, anxiety, abnormal dreams, decreased sexual desire, confusion, mood changes, restlessness, fainting, epileptic seizure
  • DRESS reaction (severe rash with fever, fatigue, facial or lymph node swelling, increased eosinophils, effects on liver, kidney, or lung), changes in certain blood cell or chemical values in blood/urine, taste changes

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to darunavir, ritonavir, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver disease.
  • Darunavir Stada does not cure HIV infection.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you develop a rash, as it can sometimes be severe or life-threatening.
  • Do not take this medicine with St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) products.

  • Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, as Darunavir Stada can increase blood sugar levels.
  • Pregnant women should not use Darunavir Stada with ritonavir unless specifically advised by a doctor.
  • Do not breastfeed while taking Darunavir Stada, as HIV can pass to the baby through breast milk and side effects may occur.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy after taking Darunavir Stada.
  • This medicine contains para-orange (E110), which may cause allergic reactions.
