How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose of Darunavir Medical Valley is 800 milligrams once a day.

Method

Take one 800 mg tablet once daily with food. Always take it with 150 mg cobicistat or 100 mg ritonavir and swallow the tablets with a drink like water or milk, no more than 30 minutes before or with a meal.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 800 mg (once a day) for most patients, or 1200 mg (600 mg twice a day) for certain previously treated patients, as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Stomach or mouth inflammation, heartburn, ulceration, dry mouth, abdominal discomfort, constipation, belching
  • Kidney failure, kidney stones, difficulty urinating, frequent or excessive urination, sometimes at night
  • Hives, severe swelling of skin or other tissues (often lips or eyes), eczema, heavy sweating, night sweats, hair loss, acne, flaky skin, discolored nails
  • Muscle pain, muscle cramps or weakness, limb pain, osteoporosis, decreased thyroid function
  • High blood pressure, hot flashes
  • Red or dry eyes
  • Fever, swelling in legs due to fluid retention, general unwellness, irritability, pain
  • Infection symptoms, herpes simplex
  • Erectile dysfunction, breast enlargement
  • Sleep disorders, drowsiness, depression, anxiety, abnormal dreams, decreased sexual desire
  • DRESS reaction (severe rash with fever, fatigue, swollen face/lymph nodes, increased eosinophils, liver/kidney/lung effects)
  • Heart attack, slow heart rate, palpitations
  • Vision problems
  • Chills, feeling unwell
  • Confusion or disorientation, mood changes, restlessness
  • Fainting, epileptic seizure, altered or lost taste
  • Mouth sores, vomiting blood, lip inflammation, dry lips, coated tongue
  • Runny nose
  • Skin lesions, dry skin
  • Muscle or joint stiffness, joint pain with or without inflammation
  • Changes in certain blood cell counts or blood chemical values
  • Darunavir crystals in kidneys, causing kidney disease

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to darunavir, any other ingredients in this medicine, cobicistat, or ritonavir.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver disease. Consult your doctor if unsure.
  • This medicine does not cure HIV infection.
  • You may still get infections or other HIV-related illnesses. Keep in regular contact with your doctor.
  • Rashes can occur; some can be serious. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop a rash.

  • Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, as this medicine may increase blood sugar levels.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any signs of infection (e.g., swollen lymph nodes or fever).
  • If you have hemophilia, this medicine may increase your risk of bleeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you are allergic to sulfonamides.
  • Tell your doctor if you experience any muscle or bone problems.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy after taking Darunavir Medical Valley.
  • Pregnant women should not take this medicine with ritonavir unless specifically advised by their doctor. Pregnant women should not take this medicine with cobicistat.
  • Do not breastfeed if you are taking this medicine, as it can harm the baby and HIV can pass through breast milk.
