Dalbavancin Baxter is an antibiotic used to treat skin and deep tissue infections in adults and children by killing bacteria.
Dalbavancin Baxter is given by a doctor or nurse. For adults, the dose is either 1,500 mg as a single dose or 1,000 mg on day one and 500 mg on day eight. For children and infants under 18 years, the dose is based on their weight, up to a maximum of 1,500 mg.
The medicine is given as an intravenous drip (into a vein) over 30 minutes.
The maximum dose for a single administration is 1,500 mg.
