How to Use

Dosage

Once a day, preferably in the evening.

Method

Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected skin areas and gently rub it in until most of it has absorbed. Wash your hands thoroughly after use, unless you are treating your hands.

Important

Do not use more than 15 grams of ointment per day, and do not treat more than 30% of your body surface area.

  • Rash around the mouth (perioral dermatitis)
  • Increased sensitivity to light, causing a rash
RARE
  • Pustular psoriasis (red patches with yellow pus-filled blisters, usually on hands or feet)
  • Severe allergic reactions, including deep swelling of the face, hands, or feet, and difficulty breathing. If this happens, stop treatment and seek urgent medical help.
  • High calcium levels in blood or urine, which can cause increased urination, constipation, muscle weakness, confusion, or coma. If this happens, seek immediate medical help.
  • Problems with adrenal glands, with symptoms like tiredness, depression, and anxiety.
  • Cataracts (cloudy vision, poor night vision, light sensitivity) or increased eye pressure (eye pain, red eye, poor or blurred vision).
  • Infections due to a weakened immune system.
  • Changes in blood sugar levels if you have diabetes.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Boils (bacterial or fungal infection of hair follicles).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to calcipotriol, betamethasone, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have problems with calcium levels in your blood, as this medicine can affect them.
  • Do not use for severe types of psoriasis, such as erythrodermic, pustular, or exfoliative psoriasis.
  • Do not use on skin with viral (e.g., herpes, chickenpox), fungal (e.g., athlete's foot), bacterial, or parasitic infections (e.g., scabies). Also, do not use on skin tuberculosis, perioral dermatitis (rash around the mouth), thin skin, stretch marks, fragile surface blood vessels, ichthyosis (dry, fish-scale-like skin), acne, rosacea (flushing or redness of the face), wounds, or ulcers.
  • Avoid using on large areas of skin (over 30% of your body), under tight bandages, on damaged skin, mucous membranes, skin folds (like groin or armpits), your face, or genitals.

  • Avoid too much exposure to natural sunlight and sunbeds while using this medicine.
  • This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.
