How to Use
Dosage
Take one tablet daily.
Method
Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably around the same time each day (either before bed or first thing in the morning).
Important
Do not take more than one tablet per day.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Irregular bleeding (bleeding outside your period)
- •Mood changes or feeling depressed
- •Headache
- •Feeling sick (nausea) or stomach pain
- •Acne
- •Tender or painful breasts
- •Weight gain
RARE
- •Dangerous blood clots in a vein or artery, for example, in the leg, lung, heart (heart attack), brain (stroke), or eye.
- •Severe allergic reactions (itching, rash, or swelling)
- •Increased or decreased sex drive
- •Hair loss
- •Skin reactions (like red, painful lumps)
Important Warnings
- This medicine slightly increases your risk of blood clots, especially during the first year of use or if you restart it after a break of 4 weeks or more.
- Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any signs of a blood clot, such as swelling or pain in one leg, sudden chest pain, or difficulty breathing.
- Do not use Daisynelle if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
- Do not use Daisynelle if you are allergic to desogestrel, ethinylestradiol, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not use Daisynelle if you have ever had a blood clot, heart attack, stroke, severe diabetes with blood vessel damage, very high blood pressure, severe liver disease, or certain types of cancer.
