How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you how much to take. It's usually 3-30 mg per day, given 1-10 times a day.

Method

Inject the medicine under your skin (in your stomach or outer thigh) using the D-mine-Pen. Do not inject into a vein or muscle.

Important

The most you can take in one day is 100 mg. No single injection should be more than 10 mg.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Lumps, redness, and itching at the injection site.
  • Seeing or hearing things that are not real (hallucinations).
  • Feeling sick to your stomach or vomiting, especially at the start of treatment.
  • Feeling very tired or sleepy.
  • Feeling confused.
  • Yawning a lot.
  • Dizziness or feeling faint when standing up.
RARE
  • More involuntary movements or shaking.
  • Suddenly falling asleep.
  • Skin rashes.
  • Trouble breathing.
  • Sores at the injection site.
  • Swelling in the legs, feet, or fingers.
  • Fainting.
  • Feeling aggressive or restless.
  • Headache.
  • Strong urges you can't control (like gambling, overeating, too much spending, or increased sexual urges).
  • Anemia (low red blood cells, causing yellowish skin, weakness, or shortness of breath).
  • Low platelets (increasing bleeding or bruising).
  • Severe allergic reaction (e.g., rash, swelling, trouble breathing).
  • High levels of certain white blood cells (eosinophilia).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to apomorphine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This medicine is not for children under 18 years old.
  • Do not use if you have serious breathing issues, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or severe mental health problems like hallucinations.
  • Tell your doctor if you or your family have a heart condition called "long QT syndrome" or if you are taking ondansetron for nausea.
  • This medicine can make you very sleepy. Do not drive or use machines if this happens.
