Dacarbazine belongs to a group of chemotherapy drugs that affects the growth of cancer cells and is used to treat various cancers.
A typical dose for skin cancer is 200–250 mg per square meter (m²) of body surface area once daily for five consecutive days every three weeks.
The medication is given intravenously either as a fast injection into a vein or a slow infusion into a vein, lasting 15–30 minutes.
The maximum single daily dose is 250 mg per square meter (m²) of body surface area.
