How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the usual dose for preventing blood clots after knee or hip surgery is 220 mg once daily (two 110 mg capsules). For certain adults (e.g., over 75 or with kidney problems) or if taking specific other medications, the dose is 150 mg once daily (two 75 mg capsules). For children, the dose is based on weight and age, taken twice daily.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Do not break, chew, or empty the capsule, as this may increase the risk of bleeding.

Important

For adults preventing blood clots, the maximum daily dose is usually 220 mg. For children treating or preventing blood clots, the maximum daily dose can be up to 600 mg, depending on their weight and age, as prescribed by your doctor.
