How to Use

Dosage

Usually 1 tablet.

Method

Take tablets immediately after meals to lessen diarrhea, and the last dose before going to bed. If possible, take Cytotec and your pain medication at the same time.

Important

Maximum 4 tablets per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to misoprostol, other prostaglandins, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are a fertile woman not using reliable birth control, as this medicine can cause miscarriage or birth defects.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are breastfeeding.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have a condition that makes you prone to diarrhea (e.g., inflammatory bowel disease) or if dehydration is particularly harmful to you.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have circulation problems in your brain or heart, or other peripheral vascular diseases.

  • Avoid antacids that contain magnesium, as they can make diarrhea worse.
  • This medicine can cause dizziness. Be careful when driving or operating machinery.
