How to Use

Dosage

One dose (1.125 g) of gel is applied daily.

Method

Crinone vaginal gel is applied directly into the vagina using a specially designed applicator. First, hold the thick end of the applicator and shake it like a thermometer to ensure the gel is at the thin end. Then, twist off and discard the cap. While sitting or lying with bent knees, gently insert the thin end of the applicator completely into your vagina. Finally, firmly squeeze the thick end to release all the gel, then remove and discard the applicator.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Breast tenderness
  • Vaginal discharge
RARE
  • Vaginal bleeding between periods (spotting)
  • Vaginal irritation and other mild reactions at the application site
  • Itchy rash (allergic reaction)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to progesterone or any other ingredients in Crinone.
  • Do not use if you are breastfeeding or have unexplained vaginal bleeding.
  • Do not use if you have porphyria (a metabolic disorder), severe liver problems, breast or genital cancer, or a history of blood clots.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience troublesome light vaginal bleeding (spotting) or other unusual side effects.
  • Crinone is not recommended for use with other vaginal products at the same time.
