How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once daily.

Method

Take the tablet in the morning before a meal with a glass of water.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

  • Digestive issues (nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, taste disturbance, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation)
  • Allergic reactions (like rashes, itching)
  • Muscle cramps
  • Fatigue
RARE
  • Mood changes
  • Depression
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Hives (urticaria)
  • Red spots on the skin (purpura)
  • Blister clusters
  • Kidney problems
  • Impotence (inability to get or maintain an erection)
  • Sweating
  • Increased number of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell)
  • Changes in lab values: high potassium in the blood (reverses after stopping treatment), low sodium in the blood (can lead to dehydration and low blood pressure)
  • Drowsiness
  • Fainting
  • Palpitations (awareness of heartbeats)
  • Fast heartbeat (tachycardia)
  • Very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in diabetic patients
  • Blood vessel inflammation (vasculitis)
  • Dry mouth
  • Photosensitivity reactions (skin sensitivity to sunlight)
  • Joint pain (arthralgia)
  • Muscle pain (myalgia)
  • Chest pain
  • Feeling unwell
  • Swelling of the extremities
  • Fever
  • Increased blood urea levels
  • Increased blood creatinine levels
  • Falls
  • Worsening of psoriasis
  • Changes in lab values: low chloride, low magnesium, increased liver enzymes, high bilirubin in blood
  • Reduced or no urine output; acute kidney failure
  • Dark urine, nausea or vomiting, muscle cramps, confusion and seizures. These may be symptoms of SIADH (Syndrome of Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion).
  • Confusion
  • Eosinophilic pneumonia (a rare type of lung inflammation)
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Severe kidney problems
  • Changes in blood cell counts, such as decreased white and red blood cells, decreased hemoglobin, decreased platelets
  • High calcium in the blood
  • Abnormal liver function
  • Abnormal heart electrical activity (ECG)
  • Changes in lab values: high uric acid and high blood sugar levels
  • Nearsightedness (myopia); blurred vision; reduced vision, decreased visual acuity or eye pain due to high eye pressure (possible signs of fluid buildup in the choroid or acute angle-closure glaucoma)
  • Color change, numbness, and pain in fingers or toes (Raynaud's phenomenon)
  • Worsening of systemic lupus erythematosus (a connective tissue disease)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to perindopril, indapamide, other ACE inhibitors, sulfonamides, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you or a family member have had swelling of the face, tongue, or throat (angioedema) in the past, especially with other ACE inhibitor medicines.
  • Do not take if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking aliskiren for high blood pressure.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease or a brain disease caused by liver problems (hepatic encephalopathy).
  • Do not take if you are more than 3 months pregnant; it is also best to avoid this medicine during early pregnancy as it can harm your baby.

  • Do not take if you are currently taking or have recently taken sacubitril/valsartan (a medicine for heart failure) due to an increased risk of angioedema.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Effectiveness is reduced in renal impairment. Consider risk of orthostatic hypotension and hyponatraemia and -kalemia. (updated 19.5.2025)
