How to Use

Dosage

Take 1 tablet (9 mg) in the morning, before or with breakfast.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush, or chew the tablet.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one 9 mg tablet.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Symptoms like Cushing's syndrome, such as a round face, acne, weight gain, and easy bruising.
  • Low potassium levels in the blood, which can cause muscle weakness, fatigue, thirst, or tingling.
  • Behavior changes, such as nervousness, difficulty sleeping, and mood swings.
  • Depression.
  • Headache.
  • Pounding heartbeats (palpitations).
  • Nausea.
  • Stomach pain.
  • Abdominal bloating.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Indigestion (dyspepsia).
  • Rash or itching.
  • Acne.
  • Muscle pain or muscle cramps.
  • Heavy or irregular periods in women.
  • Extreme tiredness (fatigue).
  • Decreased blood cortisol levels.
RARE
  • Flu-like symptoms.
  • Increase in white blood cell count.
  • Restlessness and hyperactivity.
  • Anxiety.
  • Dizziness.
  • Tremors.
  • Flatulence (gas).
  • Back pain.
  • Swelling in the lower limbs.
  • Aggression.
  • Glaucoma (increased eye pressure).
  • Cataracts (clouding of the eye lens).
  • Blurred vision.
  • Purple or blue-black spots on the skin.
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) that may cause breathing difficulties and possibly shock.

Important Warnings

  • If you experience blurred vision or other eye problems, contact your doctor immediately.
  • Tell your doctor if you have an infection (e.g., viral, bacterial, or fungal), high blood pressure, diabetes, bone loss (osteoporosis), stomach ulcer, glaucoma (high eye pressure), or cataracts.
  • Avoid grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it can change how the medicine works.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as stopping suddenly can make your symptoms return or make you feel unwell.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

  • Tell your doctor if you are scheduled for surgery or are under a lot of stress.
  • Avoid contact with people who have chickenpox or measles if you haven't had them before.
  • Inform your doctor if you or a family member have a history of mental health problems.
