How to Use

Dosage

Spray onto teeth, gums, sores, or other sore areas up to 12 sprays at a time, twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Method

Spray directly onto your teeth, gums, or sore areas in your mouth.

Important

Do not exceed 24 sprays per day (12 sprays in the morning and 12 in the evening).

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Coated tongue
  • Dry mouth
  • Loss of taste or altered taste
  • Tongue pain
  • Burning or sore sensation in the mouth
  • Numbness or reduced sensation in the mouth
RARE
  • Discoloration of tongue or teeth
  • Mouth irritation
  • Peeling or shedding of mouth lining
  • Swelling of mouth lining
  • Swelling of salivary glands (parotid gland)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to chlorhexidine gluconate or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This product is for use in the mouth only. It contains alcohol, so if a child swallows it, take them to a doctor.
  • Avoid getting the spray in your eyes or ears. If it gets in your eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly with water.
  • Stop using the spray and seek medical advice if you develop a rash, swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face, or difficulty breathing.
  • Stop using the spray and tell your dentist if you experience soreness or irritation in your mouth.

  • Do not use for a long time without a dentist's instruction. For children under 12, use only as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Some toothpastes can stop Corsodyl from working. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water after brushing your teeth and wait 5 minutes before using Corsodyl, or use Corsodyl at a different time of day.
