How to Use

Dosage

Drink 1 to 1.8 liters per hour until the liquid coming out of your bowel is clear; usually, 3-6 liters are needed over 2-5 hours.

Method

Mix 70 grams of powder with 1 liter of water. You can drink it cold or add a little juice to make it taste better. Drink each glass quickly, but slow down if you start to feel unwell.

Important

The maximum amount for a single bowel cleansing procedure is typically 6 liters.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to any ingredients in Colonsteril.
  • Do not take if you have severe kidney or heart failure, stomach or bowel ulcers, a hole in your bowel wall, toxic megacolon (severely widened large bowel), severe bowel inflammation, or a bowel blockage.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart failure, kidney failure, or liver cirrhosis, as there's a higher risk of fluid buildup in your body.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have reflux esophagitis (heartburn), ulcerative colitis, or proctitis.
  • If you get sudden stomach pain or bleeding from your bottom while taking Colonsteril, contact a doctor right away.

  • If you are very old or frail, drink the solution at room temperature, as cold liquid can lower your body temperature.
  • Talk to your doctor if you tend to have heart rhythm disorders or difficulty swallowing.
  • Avoid solid food for at least 2 hours before drinking Colonsteril solution.
  • For three days before your procedure, do not eat vegetables, fruits, berries, or dark bread. You can eat cooked meat, fish, potatoes, and light bread.
  • On the day of your procedure, you can drink clear liquids like water, juice, coffee, or tea, but not milk.
  • Drinking too much can cause stomach pain and severe diarrhea, which may lead to dehydration and changes in body salts.
