How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide the right dose for you and how often you should receive Cluvot.

Method

Cluvot is given as a slow injection or infusion directly into a vein.

Important

The medicine should not be given faster than 4 ml per minute.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Allergic reactions, such as widespread itchy skin swelling (hives), skin rash, low blood pressure (which may cause weakness or dizziness), and difficulty breathing.
  • Increased body temperature.
RARE
  • Formation of antibodies against Factor XIII.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Cluvot if you are allergic to the active substance or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had allergic reactions to Factor XIII before. Your doctor may advise you to take antihistamines or corticosteroids to prevent reactions.
  • If you experience a severe allergic reaction (like trouble breathing or dizziness), stop the administration of Cluvot right away.
  • Tell your doctor if you have recently had a blood clot (thrombosis).
  • Antibodies (substances that make the medicine less effective) can form. If your bleeding is not controlled by Cluvot, contact your doctor immediately.
