Clarithromycin Hexal is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections in adults and adolescents over 12 years old by stopping bacteria from growing.
For adults and adolescents over 12 years: typically one 250 mg tablet twice daily, or half of a 500 mg tablet twice daily. For H. pylori stomach ulcers, two 250 mg tablets or one 500 mg tablet twice daily, usually with other medications. Your doctor will determine your exact dose.
Take orally with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food.
The maximum daily dose for adults and adolescents is usually 1000 mg (e.g., two 500 mg tablets or four 250 mg tablets per day), as directed by your doctor.
