How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose based on your weight, how much muscle relaxation you need, and how long it should last.

Method

This medicine is given as a single shot into a vein (bolus injection) or as a slow drip into a vein over time (continuous infusion).

Important

The maximum daily dose is determined by your doctor based on your medical needs during treatment.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Slow heart rate
  • Low blood pressure
RARE
  • Sudden wheezing, chest pain or tightness
  • Swelling of eyelids, face, lips, mouth or tongue
  • Bumpy rash or hives anywhere on your body
  • Fainting and shock
  • Rash or red skin
  • Wheezing or coughing
  • Muscle weakness or pain

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to cisatracurium, other muscle relaxants, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have previously had a bad reaction to an anesthetic.
  • Tell your doctor if you have muscle weakness, tiredness, or difficulty coordinating movements (myasthenia gravis).
  • Tell your doctor if you have a nerve-muscle disease like muscle wasting, paralysis, motor neuron disease, or cerebral palsy.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a burn that needs medical treatment.

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine. Do not breastfeed for 3 hours after treatment.
