How to Use

Dosage

The doctor will decide your dose based on your weight, how much muscle relaxation is needed, and how you respond to the medicine.

Method

A doctor or nurse will give this medicine as a single injection into a vein or slowly through a continuous infusion into a vein.

Important

Your doctor will determine the correct dose for you; it is not for self-administration. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Slow heart rate
  • Low blood pressure
RARE
  • Rash or red skin
  • Wheezing or coughing
  • Muscle weakness or aches
  • Sudden wheezing, chest pain or tightness in the chest (allergic reaction)
  • Swelling of eyelids, face, lips, mouth, or tongue (allergic reaction)
  • Bumpy rash or hives anywhere on your body (allergic reaction)
  • Fainting and shock (allergic reaction)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to cisatracurium, other muscle relaxants, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have had a severe reaction to anesthesia before.
  • Tell your doctor if you have muscle weakness, tiredness, or problems with movement coordination (myasthenia gravis).
  • Tell your doctor if you have a nerve-muscle disease like muscle wasting disease, paralysis, motor neuron disease, or cerebral palsy.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe burns that need medical care.
