How to Use
Dosage
The doctor will decide your dose based on your weight, how much muscle relaxation is needed, and how you respond to the medicine.
Method
A doctor or nurse will give this medicine as a single injection into a vein or slowly through a continuous infusion into a vein.
Important
Your doctor will determine the correct dose for you; it is not for self-administration. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Slow heart rate
- •Low blood pressure
RARE
- •Rash or red skin
- •Wheezing or coughing
- •Muscle weakness or aches
- •Sudden wheezing, chest pain or tightness in the chest (allergic reaction)
- •Swelling of eyelids, face, lips, mouth, or tongue (allergic reaction)
- •Bumpy rash or hives anywhere on your body (allergic reaction)
- •Fainting and shock (allergic reaction)
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to cisatracurium, other muscle relaxants, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not use if you have had a severe reaction to anesthesia before.
- Tell your doctor if you have muscle weakness, tiredness, or problems with movement coordination (myasthenia gravis).
- Tell your doctor if you have a nerve-muscle disease like muscle wasting disease, paralysis, motor neuron disease, or cerebral palsy.
- Tell your doctor if you have severe burns that need medical care.
