How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose based on your weight and condition, usually between 2-15 mg per kilogram of body weight per day.

Method

Take your daily dose divided into two parts, swallow the capsules whole with water, at the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than the dose your doctor prescribed.

RARE
  • Brain problems like sudden seizures, confusion, trouble sleeping, memory loss, vision changes, or feeling weak in arms/legs.
  • Skin rash
  • General swelling
  • Weight gain
  • Low red blood cells or platelets, which can lead to increased bleeding.
  • Nerve problems like numbness or tingling in fingers and toes.
  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), causing severe upper stomach pain.
  • Muscle weakness, loss of muscle strength, or muscle pain in legs or arms.
  • Breakdown of red blood cells, leading to kidney problems with symptoms like swelling in face/belly/hands/feet, reduced urination, breathing difficulties, chest pain, seizures, or loss of consciousness.
  • Changes in menstrual cycle, or breast growth in men.
  • Swelling at the back of the eye, possibly with increased pressure in the head and vision problems.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Ciqorin if you are allergic to ciclosporin or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take Ciqorin with St. John's wort or certain medicines for blood clots (dabigatran etexilate) or high blood pressure (bosentan, aliskiren).
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have signs of infection like fever or sore throat, as Ciqorin can weaken your immune system.
  • Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, as your dose may need adjustment.
  • Your blood pressure will be checked regularly; tell your doctor if it becomes high.

  • Limit sun and UV light exposure and use strong sunscreen, as Ciqorin can increase your risk of skin cancer.
  • Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit while taking Ciqorin.
  • Do not use Ciqorin if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by your doctor.
  • Ciqorin may make you feel sleepy, confused, or cause blurred vision, so be careful when driving or operating machines.
