How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will determine your exact dose based on your weight and condition, usually taken twice a day.

Method

Take the capsules whole with water, divided into two doses per day.

Important

Do not exceed the dose your doctor prescribes; especially if you have kidney problems, the initial daily dose for nephrotic syndrome should not exceed 2.5 mg per kg body weight.

  • Brain problems, including sudden seizures, confusion, sleeplessness, disorientation, vision changes, unconsciousness, weakness in limbs, and poor movement
  • Skin rash
  • General swelling of the body
  • Weight gain
  • Low red blood cells or platelets, which can increase bleeding risk
  • Nerve problems with numbness or tingling in fingers and toes
  • Inflammation of the pancreas with severe upper abdominal pain
  • Muscle weakness, loss of muscle strength, muscle pain in legs/hands or whole body
  • Red blood cell breakdown causing kidney problems, with symptoms like swelling of face/belly/hands/feet, reduced urination, breathing difficulty, chest pain, seizures, or unconsciousness
  • Changes in menstrual cycle, male breast enlargement
  • Swelling behind the eye, which may cause increased pressure in the head and vision problems
  • Bleeding under the skin or purple spots, sudden bleeding without a clear reason
  • Migraine or severe headache, often with nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light
  • Pain in legs and feet
  • Hearing loss

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Ciqorin if you are allergic to ciclosporin or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take with medicines containing St. John's Wort.
  • Do not take with dabigatran etexilate, bosentan, or aliskiren.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have signs of infection like fever or a sore throat, as Ciqorin can weaken your immune system.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, as Ciqorin affects these organs. Your doctor will monitor them.

  • Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, as your doctor will check it regularly and may give you medicine to lower it.
  • Tell your doctor if you have low magnesium, high potassium, or gout.
  • Tell your doctor if you need to be vaccinated.
  • Ciqorin weakens your immune system, which increases your risk of skin and lymph node cancers. Limit sun and UV exposure by wearing protective clothing and high-factor sunscreen.
  • If you are taking Ciqorin for an autoimmune disease (not a transplant), do not take it if you have kidney problems (other than nephrotic syndrome), an untreated infection, any cancer, or high blood pressure that is not controlled by medicine.
