How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 12 years, the usual dose is one 10 mg tablet once a day. Children aged 6–12 years usually take half a tablet (5 mg) twice a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with a glass of liquid. The tablet can be divided into two equal halves.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 6 years is 10 mg.

  • Fainting, tremors, altered taste, abnormal prolonged muscle contractions, involuntary movements
  • Tics (involuntary movements or sounds)
  • Difficulty urinating, bedwetting, painful urination
  • Drug rash
  • Increased appetite
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Memory loss, memory impairment
  • Vertigo (spinning sensation)
  • Urinary retention (difficulty emptying bladder completely)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, piperazine derivatives, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney disease.
  • If you have kidney problems, your doctor may adjust your dose.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have difficulty urinating (e.g., prostate or bladder problems).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have epilepsy or are prone to seizures.

  • If you are going for an allergy test, stop taking Cetimax 3 days before the test.
  • Avoid using Cetimax during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor before use.
  • Do not use Cetimax while breastfeeding unless your doctor has told you to.
  • Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years of age.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medicine.
