Ceftazidim Fresenius Kabi is an antibiotic that treats infections by killing the bacteria causing them.
Your doctor or nurse will decide your dose based on your infection and weight; for adults, it's usually 1-2 grams three times a day. Children and newborns receive a dose based on their body weight.
A doctor or nurse will give you this medicine as an injection into a vein or muscle, or as a slow drip directly into a vein.
The maximum dose for adults is usually 9 grams per day and for children 6 grams per day. For those over 65, the daily dose generally doesn't exceed 3 grams.
