Ceftazidim Fresenius Kabi is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in adults and children by killing the bacteria that cause them.
Your doctor will decide your dose based on your age, weight, and the type and severity of your infection. For adults, it's typically 1-2 grams three times a day; for children, it varies by weight.
This medicine is given by a doctor or nurse as an infusion into a vein (drip) or as an injection directly into a vein or muscle.
For adults, the maximum daily dose is typically 9 grams, but for those over 65, it should not exceed 3 grams. For children, the maximum is 6 grams per day.
