How to Use

Dosage

For children 6 months to 1 year, take 1 sachet per day. For children 1-4 years, take 1-2 sachets per day. For children 4-8 years, take 2-4 sachets per day.

Method

Empty the sachet content into at least 50 ml of water, stir well, and drink right before use. If taking only one dose, take it in the morning. If taking more than one, divide them between morning and evening. Always drink an additional 125 ml of liquid (like water) after taking the medicine.

Important

The maximum daily dose depends on your child's age: 1 sachet for children 6 months to 1 year, 2 sachets for 1-4 years, and 4 sachets for 4-8 years.

Possible Side Effects

  • Stomach pain
  • Bloating (feeling full or swollen in the stomach)
  • Diarrhea
  • Feeling sick (nausea)
RARE
  • Vomiting
  • Strong urge to go to the toilet
  • Difficulty holding in stool
  • Skin redness
  • Problems with body salts (electrolyte imbalance, like low sodium or potassium)
  • Dehydration (loss of too much water) from severe diarrhea
  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g., rash, itching, swelling of face or throat, trouble breathing, sudden and severe whole-body allergic reaction called anaphylactic shock)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if your child is allergic to macrogol (PEG) or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if your child has an inflammatory bowel disease (like ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease).
  • Do not use if your child has stomach pain of unknown cause.
  • Do not use if your child has a perforation (hole) in the digestive tract or is at risk of one.
  • Do not use if your child has a blocked intestine or symptoms of it.

  • If severe diarrhea or vomiting occurs, contact a doctor quickly to prevent dehydration (loss of too much water) and loss of body salts.
  • Casenlax can affect how other medicines work. Always tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines your child is taking.
  • This medicine contains sulfur dioxide, which can rarely cause severe allergic reactions and breathing difficulties.
  • Treatment for children should not last longer than 3 months.
