Carveratio is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain (angina pectoris), and as an add-on treatment for heart failure.
Typically, adults start with one 12.5 mg Carveratio tablet once daily for the first two days, then increase to two 12.5 mg tablets (total 25 mg) once daily for high blood pressure.
Swallow tablets with at least half a glass of water. You can take them with or without food, but if you have heart failure, take them with food to reduce dizziness when standing up quickly. Tablets can be divided.
The maximum daily dose for high blood pressure is 50 mg. For chest pain, it can be up to 100 mg, and for heart failure, it varies by weight.
Suitable for older adults. Significant adverse effects include bradycardia and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions, especially with drugs affecting the conduction system of the heart. (updated 20.1.2025)
