Carveratio is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain (angina pectoris), and as an additional treatment for heart failure.
Your doctor will decide your dose; it often starts low (e.g., 12.5 mg once daily for two days) and increases gradually.
Swallow tablets with at least half a glass of water. You can take them with or without food, but if you have heart failure, take them with food to reduce the risk of dizziness when standing up quickly.
The maximum daily dose for adults is 100 mg.
Suitable for older adults. Significant adverse effects include bradycardia and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions, especially with drugs affecting the conduction system of the heart. (updated 20.1.2025)
