Carvedilol Stada is a beta-blocker that helps relax and widen blood vessels, which in turn prevents the heart from beating too fast.
Typically, you start with 12.5 mg once daily for two days, then continue with 25 mg once daily, or as directed by your doctor.
Swallow the tablets whole with enough water. Do not chew them. You can take them with or without food.
The maximum daily dose is 100 mg, usually divided into two doses.
Suitable for older adults. Significant adverse effects include bradycardia and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions, especially with drugs affecting the conduction system of the heart. (updated 20.1.2025)
