How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose for high blood pressure is 12.5 mg once daily for the first two days, then 25 mg once daily.

Method

Swallow the tablets with water. If you are treating heart failure, take the tablets with food.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose for high blood pressure is 50 mg, and for chest pain (angina) is 100 mg (divided into two doses).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to carvedilol or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have asthma or other lung diseases causing wheezing.
  • Do not use if you have very severe heart failure or fluid buildup in your body.
  • Do not use if you have liver disease.
  • Do not use if you have a very slow heart rate or very low blood pressure.

  • Avoid grapefruit, grapefruit juice, and alcohol with this medicine, as they can increase side effects.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy or tired.

Category A
