Carvedilol Hexal belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers, which relax blood vessels and slow down your heart rate.
Your doctor will tell you the exact dose. It often starts low, like 3.125 mg to 12.5 mg, taken once or twice a day. The dose may be slowly increased.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water, with food. Do not chew them.
The maximum daily dose depends on your condition and weight, but can be up to 50 mg twice a day.
