Carvedilol Hexal is a beta-blocker that relaxes blood vessels, widens them, prevents a too fast heart rate, and is used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain (angina), and moderate to severe chronic heart failure.
The starting dose varies depending on the condition and age; for heart failure, treatment often starts with 3.125 mg twice daily, while for high blood pressure or angina, it's usually 12.5 mg once or twice daily.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water during a meal. Do not chew the tablets.
The maximum daily dose is typically 50 mg twice daily (total 100 mg), but it can vary depending on the condition and your weight.
