How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 5 ml ampoule, and the dose can be repeated if needed. A second ampoule can be given 20-30 minutes after the first.

Method

This medicine is given slowly as an injection into a vein by a healthcare professional.

Important

The maximum daily dose is two 5 ml ampoules (80 mg total).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to indigocarmine, the active substance.
  • Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart failure, coronary artery disease (chest pain), or irregular heartbeat.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines that affect your heart rate, blood pressure, or nitric oxide production.
  • Tell your doctor if your blood pressure is unstable or if you have a history of allergies.
