How to Use

Dosage

The usual initial dose is 100 ml, followed by 100 ml after 45 minutes, and then every 30 minutes if needed during surgery.

Method

This medicine is injected directly into your heart's arteries by a trained heart surgeon. It is given quickly after the main artery (aorta) is clamped.

Important

The dose will be carefully determined by your doctor during surgery, typically 100 ml initially and up to 100 ml every 30-45 minutes as needed.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Cardioplexol if you are allergic to its active ingredients, such as procaine, anesthetics, or sulfonamides, or any other component.
  • If you have myasthenia gravis, this medicine may increase muscle weakness.
  • If you have a lack of a certain enzyme (pseudocholinesterase), the medicine's effects might be stronger and cause toxic symptoms.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, Cardioplexol will only be given if your doctor considers it absolutely necessary. Discuss with your doctor.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially muscle relaxants, sulfonamides, or cholinesterase inhibitors. Cardioplexol solution must not be mixed with other medicines.
