How to Use

Dosage

One pre-filled syringe (100 micrograms).

Method

Given as an injection into a vein or muscle right after your baby is born.

Important

This is a single dose given once.

  • Severe allergic reactions, including difficulty breathing, swelling, dizziness, fast heart rate, sweating, low blood pressure, and loss of consciousness.
  • Muscle weakness
  • Fever

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are pregnant.
  • Do not use if you are still in labor and the baby has not yet been born.
  • Do not use to start labor.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to carbetocin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to oxytocin.
