How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once a day, preferably in the morning.

Method

Take the tablet with water, with or without food. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Try to take your tablet at the same time each day.

Important

Maximum one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Respiratory infection
  • Increased potassium levels in blood (may cause tiredness, weakness, irregular heartbeat, or tingling)
  • Dizziness or a spinning sensation
  • Headache
  • Allergic skin reactions (especially in allergic and asthmatic patients)
  • Red, raised skin rash
RARE
  • Angioedema or hives: Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which can cause difficulty breathing or swallowing.
  • Decrease in white blood cells, which may lead to reduced resistance to infections, tiredness, infections, and fever.
  • Severe skin reactions: Serious rash, redness of the skin all over the body, severe itching, blisters, peeling, swelling, or inflammation of mucous membranes.
  • Life-threatening irregular heartbeat.
  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas): Severe stomach and back pain with intense nausea.
  • Brain disorder caused by liver disease.
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis).
  • Muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis): Muscle weakness, cramps, tenderness or pain, especially with nausea or fever.
  • Low sodium levels in blood (can lead to dehydration and low blood pressure)
  • Vomiting
  • Impotence (difficulty getting or keeping an erection)
  • Low chloride or magnesium levels in blood
  • Tiredness, tingling (numbness or pins and needles)
  • Digestive problems (nausea, constipation), dry mouth
  • Changes in blood cells (e.g., easy bruising, nosebleeds, fever, sore throat, anemia)
  • High calcium levels in blood
  • Irregular heartbeat (palpitations) or low blood pressure
  • Cough
  • Abnormal liver function (shown in blood tests)
  • Rash, itching
  • Back, joint, or muscle pain
  • Kidney disease (tiredness, increased urge to urinate, itching, nausea, swollen limbs)
  • Swelling in the intestines (stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)
  • Fainting
  • Blurred vision or eye pain due to high eye pressure
  • Diarrhea
  • Worsening of SLE (an autoimmune disease)
  • Skin sensitivity to sunlight
  • Muscle cramps, muscle weakness
  • Abnormal ECG results
  • Increased uric acid (can cause or worsen gout)
  • High blood sugar levels in diabetics

Important Warnings

  • If you are allergic to candesartan, indapamide, sulfonamides, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If you are more than 3 months pregnant (it is also best to avoid this medicine in early pregnancy).
  • If you have severe liver disease, bile duct obstruction, or hepatic encephalopathy (a brain disorder).
  • If the patient is a child under 1 year old.
  • If you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure-lowering medicine called aliskiren.

  • If you have low potassium levels in your blood.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney disease, or if you are on dialysis.
  • If you experience blurred vision or eye pain. This could lead to permanent vision loss if not treated.
  • Tell your doctor or dentist if you are having surgery, as Caninda can significantly lower blood pressure when combined with some anesthetics.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • Athletes should note that this medicine may cause a positive result in doping tests.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness or tiredness due to low blood pressure. Avoid driving or tasks requiring precision if you experience these symptoms.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
