How to Use

Dosage

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times a day.

Method

Gently rub the cream into the skin. About half a centimeter of cream is enough for an area the size of a palm. For feet, wash and dry thoroughly between toes before applying.

Important

Do not apply more than 3 times per day. Treatment duration varies by infection type (1-4 weeks), and should continue for 1-2 weeks after symptoms clear to prevent recurrence.

Important Warnings

  • When treating infections of the external genitals, Canesten cream can reduce the effectiveness of latex contraceptives like condoms and diaphragms. This effect is temporary and only lasts during treatment.
  • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Avoid getting Canesten cream in your eyes. Do not swallow the cream.
  • For children under 12 and elderly, use only under medical supervision.
  • Avoid long-term use on large skin areas, especially for babies and children.

  • Adolescents under 16 should consult a doctor before using Canesten cream for vulvitis (inflammation of the external female genitals).
  • Canesten cream contains cetostearyl alcohol, which can cause local skin reactions (like contact dermatitis). It also contains benzyl alcohol, which may cause allergic reactions and mild local irritation.
