How to Use

Dosage

Insert one tablet deep into the vagina once, in the evening.

Method

Lie down and use the applicator to insert the tablet deeply into your vagina before bed. If you are pregnant, use your finger instead of the applicator. Always wash your hands before and after using the tablet.

Important

Only one tablet is needed for the treatment. Do not use more than once.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if: this is your first vaginal infection; you are in the first three months of pregnancy; you have had more than two infections in the last six months; you have a fever (38°C or higher), lower abdominal pain, back pain, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, or vaginal bleeding and/or shoulder pain.
  • Do not use Canesten vaginal tablet during menstruation. Finish treatment before your period starts.
  • Do not use tampons, vaginal douches, spermicides, or other vaginal products at the same time as Canesten vaginal tablet.
  • Avoid sexual intercourse if you have a vaginal infection and are using this product, as the infection can spread to your sexual partner.

  • If your sexual partner has symptoms of a yeast infection, they should be treated at the same time.
  • The effectiveness of latex birth control products, such as condoms and diaphragms, may be reduced.
  • Do not swallow Canesten vaginal tablet.
  • Teenagers under 16 should not use Canesten vaginal tablets without a doctor's prescription.
  • Contact a doctor if you are using medicines containing tacrolimus or sirolimus, which are used to suppress the immune system after organ transplantation.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, suspect you are pregnant, or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
  • Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve within seven days after starting treatment, or if your symptoms worsen.
