How to Use

Dosage

One vaginal pessary.

Method

Insert one vaginal pessary deeply into the vagina with the applicator in the evening before bed. If you are pregnant, insert the pessary with your finger.

Important

Only one dose (one pessary) as a single treatment.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Canesten soft vaginal pessary if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any other ingredient.
  • Talk to a doctor before use if this is your first vaginal infection, you are pregnant (especially in the first trimester), you have had more than two infections in the last six months, you have a fever (over 38°C), lower abdominal or back pain, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, or vaginal bleeding and/or shoulder pain.
  • Do not use Canesten during menstruation; finish treatment before your period starts. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches, or other vaginal products at the same time. Avoid sexual intercourse, as the infection can spread to your partner. This medicine can reduce the effectiveness of latex contraceptives, such as condoms and diaphragms.
  • Do not swallow the Canesten soft vaginal pessary.
  • Adolescents under 16 years of age should not use this medicine without a doctor's prescription.

  • Consult a doctor if your symptoms do not improve after seven days or if they get worse.
