How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day. Do not crush or chew it.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Respiratory tract infection
  • Changes in blood test results (e.g., high potassium levels in blood), which can make you feel tired or weak.
  • Dizziness or feeling lightheaded
  • Headache
  • Allergic skin reactions
  • Red, raised rash
RARE
  • Low sodium levels in your blood
  • Vomiting
  • Impotence (trouble getting or keeping an erection)
  • Low chloride or magnesium levels in your blood
  • Feeling tired, tingling or numbness (pins and needles)
  • Digestive problems (nausea, constipation), dry mouth
  • Changes in blood cells (e.g., easy bruising, nosebleeds, frequent infections, anemia)
  • High calcium levels in your blood
  • Irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure
  • Cough
  • Liver problems (seen in blood tests)
  • Rash, itching
  • Back, joint, or muscle pain
  • Kidney problems (e.g., fatigue, frequent urination, itchy skin, nausea, swollen limbs)
  • Swelling in the intestines (stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)
  • Fainting
  • Blurred vision or eye pain due to high eye pressure
  • Diarrhea
  • Worsening of lupus (SLE)
  • Skin reactions to sunlight (photosensitivity)
  • Muscle cramps, muscle weakness
  • Abnormal heart ECG readings
  • Increased uric acid levels (can cause gout or worsen it)
  • Increased blood sugar levels in people with diabetes

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to candesartan, indapamide, similar medicines (sulphonamides), or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you are more than 3 months pregnant, or if you are in early pregnancy.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease, problems with bile flow, or a brain disease caused by liver problems.
  • This medicine is not for children under 1 year old.
  • Do not take if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure medicine that contains aliskiren.

  • Do not take if you have very low potassium levels in your blood.
  • Tell your doctor if you experience blurred vision or eye pain. This could be a serious problem caused by fluid build-up or high pressure in the eye, which can lead to permanent vision loss if not treated.
  • Tell your doctor or dentist if you are having surgery, as this medicine can cause your blood pressure to drop too much with some anesthetics.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had skin reactions to sunlight (photosensitivity) in the past.
