How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one tablet daily.

Method

Take the tablet whole with water, preferably in the morning. Do not crush or chew it. It can be taken with or without food.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Respiratory infection.
  • Changes in blood tests, such as high potassium, which can cause tiredness, weakness, irregular heartbeats, or tingling.
  • Dizziness or feeling lightheaded.
  • Headache.
  • Allergic skin reactions, especially in people prone to allergies or asthma.
  • Red, raised skin rash.
RARE
  • Low sodium in the blood, which can cause dehydration and low blood pressure.
  • Vomiting.
  • Impotence (difficulty getting or keeping an erection).
  • Low chloride or magnesium levels in the blood.
  • Feeling tired, tingling sensations (pins and needles).
  • Digestive problems (like nausea, constipation), dry mouth.
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face/limbs/tongue/throat (angioedema), causing difficulty breathing or swallowing.
  • Decrease in white blood cells (agranulocytosis), leading to tiredness, fever, or increased risk of infection.
  • Severe skin reactions like widespread rash, redness, itching, blisters, peeling, swelling, or mouth sores (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis).
  • Decrease in platelets, causing easy bruising or nosebleeds.
  • Anemia (low red blood cells).
  • High calcium levels in the blood.
  • Irregular heartbeat (palpitations), low blood pressure.
  • Cough.
  • Liver problems, shown by abnormal liver test results.
  • Rash, itching.
  • Back, joint, and muscle pain.
  • Kidney disease, causing tiredness, increased urination, itchy skin, nausea, or swelling in limbs.
  • Swelling in the intestines (intestinal angioedema), causing stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
  • Life-threatening irregular heartbeat (Torsade de pointes).
  • Pancreas inflammation (pancreatitis) causing severe stomach and back pain with intense sickness.
  • Brain disease caused by liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy).
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis).
  • Muscle weakness, cramps, tenderness, or pain, especially with sickness or fever, possibly due to muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis).
  • Fainting.
  • Blurred vision or eye pain due to high eye pressure (possible signs of fluid buildup in the eye or acute angle-closure glaucoma).
  • Diarrhea.
  • Worsening of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
  • Skin changes due to sensitivity to sunlight or artificial UV light (photosensitivity reactions).
  • Muscle cramps, muscle weakness.
  • Abnormal ECG readings (heart's electrical activity).
  • Changes in blood tests, such as high uric acid (can cause or worsen gout) or high blood sugar in diabetics.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to candesartan, indapamide, similar medicines (sulfonamides), or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are more than 3 months pregnant; it is best to avoid during early pregnancy as well.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease, bile duct problems, or a brain disease called hepatic encephalopathy.
  • Do not give to children under 1 year old.
  • Do not take if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking aliskiren for high blood pressure.

  • Tell your doctor or dentist if you are going to have surgery, as this medicine can cause a significant drop in blood pressure with some anesthetics.
  • Athletes should note that this medicine contains an active substance that can cause a positive doping test result.
