How to Use
Dosage
One tablet once a day.
Method
Swallow the tablet with water. Try to take it at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food.
Important
Do not take more than one tablet per day.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Changes in blood test results, such as low sodium or abnormal potassium levels.
- •Dizziness, weakness, or headache.
- •Respiratory infection.
RARE
- •Severe allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or a severe rash. Stop use and seek immediate medical attention.
- •Decrease in white blood cells, which can cause tiredness, infections, or fever.
- •Loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, stomach irritation, nausea, or vomiting.
- •Rash, hives, sensitivity to sunlight, peeling skin or blisters.
- •Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), kidney problems, blurred vision, or eye pain.
- •Sleep problems, depression, restlessness, tingling or numbness in hands/feet, irregular heartbeat, fever, pancreatitis, muscle cramps, back/joint/muscle pain, cough, acute shortness of breath.
Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to candesartan cilexetil, hydrochlorothiazide, other ingredients in this medicine, or sulfonamide medicines.
- Do not use this medicine if you are more than 3 months pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as it can harm the baby.
- Do not use if you have severe liver or kidney problems, gout, or consistently abnormal potassium or calcium levels in your blood.
- Do not use if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking another blood pressure medicine containing aliskiren.
- If you have had skin cancer or notice new skin changes during treatment, talk to your doctor. Protect your skin from the sun.

- If you experience sudden vision loss or eye pain, seek immediate medical attention.
- If you develop severe shortness of breath or breathing difficulties after taking this medicine, seek immediate medical attention.
Use in Elderly Patients
Category C
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Effectiveness is reduced in renal impairment. Consider risk of orthostatic hypotension and hyponatraemia and -kalemia. (updated 19.5.2025)
