How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with water. You can take it with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one tablet, as prescribed by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Changes in blood test results (e.g., low blood sodium, high or low blood potassium, high cholesterol, sugar, or uric acid).
  • Sugar in urine.
  • Dizziness or light-headedness.
  • Headache.
  • Respiratory infection.
RARE
  • Low blood pressure, causing dizziness or faintness.
  • Loss of appetite, constipation, or stomach irritation.
  • Skin rash, hives, or rash from sun sensitivity.
  • Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice). If this happens, contact your doctor right away.
  • Kidney problems.
  • Sleep problems, depression, or restlessness.
  • Tingling in hands or feet.
  • Temporary blurred vision.
  • Irregular heartbeat.
  • Breathing difficulties (including lung inflammation and fluid in the lungs).
  • Fever.
  • Inflammation of the pancreas, causing stomach pain.
  • Muscle cramps.
  • Blood vessel damage, seen as red or purple spots on the skin.
  • Low red or white blood cells or platelets, leading to fatigue, infection, fever, or easy bruising.
  • Severe skin rash with peeling or blisters (possibly in the mouth).
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat (angioedema).
  • Itching.
  • Back, joint, and muscle pain.
  • Liver problems (including hepatitis), fatigue, yellowing skin/eyes, or flu-like symptoms.
  • Cough.
  • Nausea.
  • Acute breathing problems (severe shortness of breath, fever, weakness, confusion).
  • Swelling in the intestines (abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
  • Sudden short-sightedness.
  • Blurred vision or eye pain due to high pressure in the eye.
  • Systemic and cutaneous lupus erythematosus (an allergic disease causing fever, joint pain, rash with redness, blisters, peeling, and firm patches).
  • Diarrhea.
  • Skin and lip cancer (non-melanoma skin cancer).

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking this medicine and seek medical help right away if you have allergic reactions like difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or severe skin itching with raised bumps.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as it can harm your baby.
  • It is not recommended to use this medicine while breastfeeding.
  • This medicine may cause tiredness or dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel this way.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver or kidney disease, a blocked bile duct, or a history of gout.

  • Do not use if you have persistently low potassium or high calcium levels in your blood.
  • Do not use if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure-lowering medicine containing aliskiren.
  • This medicine can increase your risk of skin cancer. Protect your skin from sun and UV light while taking it. Tell your doctor if you have had skin cancer or if you notice new skin changes.
  • If you experience blurred vision or eye pain, especially within hours to weeks of starting this medicine, contact your doctor immediately. These could be signs of serious eye conditions.
  • If you have had breathing problems after taking hydrochlorothiazide, or if you develop severe shortness of breath or lung issues after taking Canderion Comp, get urgent medical help.
