How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with water.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Changes in blood test results (e.g., low sodium, high or low potassium, high cholesterol, sugar, or uric acid).
  • Low sodium in your blood, which can cause weakness, tiredness, or muscle cramps.
  • High or low potassium in your blood, which can cause tiredness, weakness, irregular heartbeats, or tingling.
  • Increased levels of cholesterol, sugar, or uric acid in your blood.
  • Sugar in your urine.
  • Dizziness, lightheadedness, or weakness.
  • Headache.
  • Respiratory infection.
RARE
  • Low blood pressure, which can make you feel weak or dizzy.
  • Loss of appetite, constipation, or stomach irritation.
  • Skin rash, hives, or increased sensitivity to sunlight.
  • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice). Contact a doctor immediately if this happens.
  • Kidney function problems, especially if you already have kidney or heart failure.
  • Sleep problems, depression, or restlessness.
  • Tingling or numbness in arms or legs.
  • Temporary blurred vision.
  • Irregular heartbeat.
  • Breathing difficulties (including lung inflammation and fluid in the lungs).
  • Fever.
  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), causing moderate to severe stomach pain.
  • Muscle cramps.
  • Damage to blood vessels, seen as red or purple spots on the skin.
  • Decrease in red or white blood cells or platelets, which can cause tiredness, infections, fever, or easy bruising.
  • Severe, rapidly developing rash with peeling skin, blisters on the skin, and possibly blisters in the mouth.
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
  • Itching.
  • Back, joint, or muscle pain.
  • Liver problems, including hepatitis (inflammation of the liver). Symptoms may include tiredness, yellowing of skin/eyes, and flu-like symptoms.
  • Cough.
  • Nausea.
  • Acute respiratory distress (severe shortness of breath, fever, weakness, confusion).
  • Swelling in the intestines (abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
  • Sudden nearsightedness.
  • Vision impairment or eye pain due to high eye pressure (possible signs of fluid buildup in the eye or acute narrow-angle glaucoma).
  • Systemic and cutaneous lupus erythematosus (allergic condition causing fever, joint pain, skin rash with redness, blisters, peeling, and lumps).
  • Diarrhea.
  • Non-melanoma skin and lip cancer.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Canderion Comp if you are allergic to candesartan cilexetil, hydrochlorothiazide, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to sulfonamide medicines. If you are unsure, talk to your doctor.
  • Do not use if you are more than 3 months pregnant (it's also best to avoid this medicine in early pregnancy).
  • Do not use if you have severe liver disease or bile duct blockage (problems with bile flow from the gallbladder).
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney problems.

  • Do not use if you have or have had gout.
  • Do not use if your blood potassium levels are consistently low.
  • Do not use if your blood calcium levels are consistently high.
  • Do not use if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure-lowering medicine that contains aliskiren.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience sudden vision loss or eye pain, as this could lead to permanent vision loss if not treated.
  • If you have had skin cancer or develop a new skin lesion during treatment, protect your skin from sun and UV light.
  • If you develop severe breathing problems or lung issues after taking Canderion Comp, seek immediate medical attention.
