How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water. You can take it with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Changes in blood test results (e.g., in sodium, potassium, cholesterol, sugar, or uric acid levels).
  • Sugar in your urine.
  • Dizziness, light-headedness, or feeling weak.
  • Headache.
  • Respiratory tract infection.
RARE
  • Low blood pressure (may make you feel weak or dizzy).
  • Loss of appetite, constipation, or upset stomach.
  • Skin rash, hives, or skin that is extra sensitive to sunlight.
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice).
  • Kidney problems.
  • Trouble sleeping, feeling sad (depression), or restlessness.
  • Tingling or numbness in your arms or legs.
  • Temporary blurred vision.
  • Irregular heartbeat.
  • Breathing difficulties (including lung infection or fluid in the lungs).
  • Fever (high temperature).
  • Inflammation of the pancreas (which may cause stomach pain).
  • Muscle cramps.
  • Red or purple spots on the skin (from damaged blood vessels).
  • Lower number of red or white blood cells or platelets (may cause tiredness, infections, fever, or easy bruising).
  • Severe rash that appears quickly, with peeling skin or blisters on skin or in mouth.
  • Back, joint, or muscle pain.
  • Changes in liver function (including hepatitis), with tiredness, yellow skin/eyes, or flu-like symptoms.
  • Cough.
  • Nausea.
  • Sudden severe breathing problems (with fever, weakness, and confusion).
  • Swelling in the intestine (with stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea).
  • Sudden nearsightedness.
  • Vision loss or eye pain due to high eye pressure.
  • Allergic disease causing fever, joint pain, and rash (systemic and cutaneous lupus erythematosus).
  • Diarrhea.
  • Skin and lip cancer (non-melanoma type).

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking this medicine and get help right away if you have trouble breathing, swelling in your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or a very itchy rash with raised bumps.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are in the last 6 months of pregnancy.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to candesartan cilexetil, hydrochlorothiazide, other ingredients in this medicine, or sulfonamide medicines.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver or kidney problems, a blocked bile duct, gout, very low blood potassium, or very high blood calcium.
  • Do not use if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure medicine that contains aliskiren.

  • If you get blurred vision or eye pain, contact your doctor right away. This could be a serious eye problem that may lead to lasting vision loss if not treated.
  • This medicine may increase your risk of certain skin cancers. Protect your skin from the sun and UV light. Tell your doctor if you notice any new skin changes.
  • If you have had breathing problems after taking hydrochlorothiazide before, or if you get severe breathing issues after taking Canderion Comp, get medical help immediately.
  • Canderion Comp can lower your white blood cell count. This might make you tired or more likely to get infections and fever. If this happens, contact your doctor.
