How to Use

Dosage

Once a day.

Method

Gently rub the cream into the skin areas affected by psoriasis until most of it is absorbed. Use only on affected areas, not on healthy skin.

Important

No more than 15 grams per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Itching
  • Skin peeling or scaling
RARE
  • Worsening of psoriasis or flare-ups after stopping treatment
  • Pustular psoriasis (red patches with pus-filled blisters)
  • Skin pain, irritation, burning, or stinging sensation
  • Skin inflammation (dermatitis), red rash around the mouth (perioral dermatitis), or eczema
  • Skin redness (erythema) or visible surface blood vessels
  • Inflammation or infection of hair follicles (folliculitis, furuncle)
  • Changes in skin color (darkening or lightening) or stretch marks
  • General rash or rash due to photosensitivity or allergic contact
  • Skin thinning
  • Red or purple patches on skin (purpura or bruising)
  • Severe allergic reactions with swelling of the face, hands, or other body parts, and difficulty breathing
  • High calcium levels in blood or urine (symptoms may include increased urination, constipation, muscle weakness, confusion)
  • Skin sensitivity to light (photosensitivity)
  • Acne or small yellowish bumps (milia)
  • Dry skin
  • Blurred vision
  • Problems with adrenal glands (you might feel tired, sad, or worried)
  • Eye problems such as cataracts (cloudy vision, light sensitivity) or increased eye pressure (eye pain, red eyes)
  • Weakened immune system (making you more prone to infections)
  • Changes in blood sugar control (if you have diabetes, blood sugar levels may fluctuate)
  • Changes in hair growth

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to calcipotriol, betamethasone, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have problems with calcium levels in your blood.
  • Do not use if you have certain types of psoriasis, such as pustular, exfoliative, or erythrodermic psoriasis.
  • Do not use on skin with viral (e.g., herpes, chickenpox), fungal (e.g., athlete's foot), bacterial, or parasitic (e.g., scabies) infections, skin tuberculosis, or a rash around the mouth (perioral dermatitis).
  • Do not use on thinned skin, stretch marks, fragile surface blood vessels, ichthyosis (fish-scale skin), acne, rosacea, open wounds, or ulcers.

  • Avoid using on large skin areas (over 30% of your body) or under bandages, as this increases absorption.
  • Avoid using on the face, genitals, mucous membranes, or skin folds (e.g., groin, armpits), as these areas are very sensitive.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure, sunbeds, or other light treatments.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding, unless you have discussed it with your doctor first.
