How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once a day.

Method

Chew the tablet or let it dissolve in your mouth.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Too much calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia) or urine (hypercalciuria), especially with high doses.
RARE
  • Constipation, indigestion, gas, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea.
  • Itching, rash, hives.
  • Milk-alkali syndrome (symptoms can include frequent urination, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness, high calcium in blood, and kidney problems), usually when taking very large amounts of calcium.
  • Severe allergic reactions (swelling of face, tongue, lips, or throat). Seek medical help immediately.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have severe kidney problems, kidney stones, or too much calcium or vitamin D in your blood or urine.
  • This medicine is not for children or teenagers.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Daily calcium intake during pregnancy should not exceed 2500 mg and vitamin D intake 4000 IU.
  • Talk to your doctor if you use this medicine for a long time, especially if you also take diuretics (for high blood pressure or swelling) or cardiac glycosides (for heart conditions).

  • Talk to your doctor if you have kidney impairment, sarcoidosis (an immune system disorder), or osteoporosis and have difficulty moving.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are taking other vitamin D supplements. Extra calcium and vitamin D should only be taken under strict medical supervision.
