How to Use

Dosage

One tablet twice a day.

Method

You can swallow or chew the tablets.

Important

Two tablets per day (1000 mg calcium, 800 IU vitamin D3).

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Too much calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia) or urine (hypercalciuria), if large doses are used.
  • Constipation.
  • Indigestion (upset stomach).
  • Gas or bloating.
  • Nausea.
  • Stomach pain.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Itching.
  • Rash.
  • Hives (itchy red welts).
  • Milk-alkali syndrome (symptoms can include frequent urination, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness, high blood calcium levels, and kidney failure).
  • Severe allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face, tongue, or lips.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney disease.
  • Do not use if you have too much calcium in your blood or urine.
  • Do not use if you have kidney stones.
  • Do not use if you have too much vitamin D in your blood.

  • This medicine is not for children.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are taking this medicine for a long time, especially if you also use water pills (diuretics) or heart medicines (cardiac glycosides).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have reduced kidney function or a high risk of developing kidney stones.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have sarcoidosis (a disease of the immune system).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have osteoporosis and cannot move around.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are taking other vitamin D products. Other calcium and vitamin D supplements should only be used under a doctor's supervision.
  • Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
