How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet once a day.

Method

Chew or suck the tablet.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Too much calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia) or urine (hypercalciuria) can occur with high doses.
  • Constipation, upset stomach (indigestion), gas, nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhea.
  • Itching, rash, and hives.
  • Milk-alkali syndrome (Burnett's syndrome), usually seen with very high calcium intake, with symptoms like frequent urination, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness, high blood calcium, and kidney problems.
  • If you have kidney failure, you might have a risk of high phosphate in your blood, kidney stones, and calcium build-up in your kidneys.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Calcichew D3 Extra if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use Calcichew D3 Extra if you have severe kidney disease.
  • Do not use Calcichew D3 Extra if you have too much calcium in your blood or urine.
  • Do not use Calcichew D3 Extra if you have kidney stones.
  • Do not use Calcichew D3 Extra if you have too much vitamin D in your blood.

  • Talk to your doctor before using Calcichew D3 Extra if you take other long-term medicines, especially for high blood pressure, swelling, or heart problems.
  • Talk to your doctor before using Calcichew D3 Extra if you have kidney problems or are prone to kidney stones.
  • Talk to your doctor before using Calcichew D3 Extra if you have sarcoidosis (an immune system disorder that can increase vitamin D levels).
  • Talk to your doctor before using Calcichew D3 Extra if you have osteoporosis (bone thinning) and cannot move around easily.
  • Talk to your doctor before using Calcichew D3 Extra if you are taking other vitamin D supplements. Other calcium and vitamin D supplements should only be used with a doctor's close supervision.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat, as these can be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
