Burana is an anti-inflammatory painkiller that temporarily relieves pain and fever, such as symptoms of colds, muscle pain, headaches, and menstrual pain.

How to Use

Dosage

Adults and adolescents over 12 years (weighing over 40 kg): 1 sachet 1–3 times a day as needed, with 4–6 hours between doses. For migraine: 1 sachet as a single dose when symptoms appear, repeat after 4–6 hours if needed.

Method

Dissolve the powder from the sachet in a glass of warm water (approx. 200 ml). You can take it on an empty stomach, but if you experience stomach upset, take it with food or milk.

Important

Do not exceed 3 sachets (1200 mg) per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Heartburn, stomach pain, indigestion.
  • Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, constipation.
  • Stomach or intestinal ulcers, inflammation of the intestines (e.g., colitis or Crohn's disease), or worsening of these conditions.
  • Minor bleeding in the intestine that may lead to anemia.
  • Mouth ulcers and inflammation.
  • Headache, drowsiness, lightheadedness, fatigue, agitation, insomnia, and irritability.
RARE
  • Blurred vision, other eye problems, sensitivity to light, or vision loss.
  • Allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, asthma attacks (sometimes with low blood pressure), or sudden severe allergic reaction with breathing difficulties and swelling.
  • Inflammation of the stomach lining.
  • Kidney problems such as swelling, inflammation, or kidney failure.
  • Runny nose, breathing difficulties (bronchospasm).
  • Depression, confusion, hallucinations.
  • Lupus erythematosus-like syndrome.
  • Changes in blood tests (e.g., altered liver or kidney function, or blood counts).
  • Fluid retention, high blood pressure, heart palpitations, heart failure, or heart attack.
  • Blood disorders with symptoms like fever, sore throat, mouth sores, fatigue, or nosebleeds.
  • Ringing in the ears.
  • Inflammation of the esophagus or pancreas, intestinal narrowing.
  • Acute liver inflammation, yellowing of skin or eyes, liver damage or liver failure.
  • Meningitis (without bacterial infection).
  • Kidney tissue damage, hair loss.
  • Severe skin reactions, such as widespread red patches, blisters, peeling skin, or ulcers in the mouth, throat, nose, eyes, and genital area.
  • Swelling of the face, tongue, or throat with breathing difficulties, fast heartbeat, severe drop in blood pressure, or life-threatening shock.
  • Chest pain (may be a sign of a severe allergic reaction, Kounis syndrome).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen, other anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs), or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have or have had stomach or duodenal ulcers, bleeding, or perforations in the digestive tract.
  • Do not use if you have severe heart, kidney, or liver disease.
  • Do not use during the last three months of pregnancy.
  • Do not use if you have severe dehydration (e.g., due to vomiting or diarrhea).

  • Not for children under 12 years of age (or weighing less than 40 kg).
  • Stop use and seek medical help immediately if you develop severe skin reactions such as red patches, blisters, peeling skin, or ulcers.
  • Stop use and seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as breathing difficulties, swelling of the face or neck, or chest pain.
  • Avoid alcohol, as it may increase side effects, especially in the stomach, intestines, and brain.
  • Long-term or high-dose use may increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, or kidney damage. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of use.
  • This medicine may make it harder to get pregnant. Tell your doctor if you are planning a pregnancy or having difficulty getting pregnant.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract.
