How to Use

Dosage

Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 1 tablet 1-3 times a day. Children 4-8 years (20-25 kg): half a tablet up to 3 times a day. Children 8-12 years (25-40 kg): half a tablet up to 4 times a day.

Method

Take tablets with plenty of liquid, such as a glass of water. You can take them with or without food. Taking them with food may help reduce stomach upset.

Important

For adults and adolescents over 12 years, do not exceed 3 tablets a day. For children, the maximum single dose is 10 mg/kg and the maximum daily dose is 30 mg/kg.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Increased bruising or nosebleeds
  • Mood changes or drowsiness
  • Dizziness or headache
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Worsening of heart failure (increased swelling or shortness of breath)
  • Swelling of arms/legs, heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, or diarrhea
  • Hives, skin itching, or swelling of skin/mucous membranes
RARE
  • Decreased red blood cells (leading to increased bruising or nosebleeds)
  • Decreased white blood cells (with unclear fever, flu-like symptoms, or sore throat)
  • Increased potassium levels in blood
  • Blurred vision or changes in the cornea
  • Confusion (especially in patients using tacrine)
  • Meningitis (in patients with certain connective tissue diseases)
  • Hearing loss
  • Worsening of coronary artery disease symptoms (increased chest pain) or arrhythmia
  • Shortness of breath or worsening asthma
  • Gastrointestinal perforations, worsening of ulcerative colitis, salivary gland inflammation, or pancreatitis
  • Increased liver enzymes, jaundice, or liver inflammation (may appear as upper abdominal pain)
  • Severe peeling or blistering skin/mucous membrane reactions, photosensitivity, worsening acne or psoriasis, hair loss, SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus)
  • Worsening kidney function
  • Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)
  • Narrowing of the intestines

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer, or a history of stomach bleeding or perforation due to NSAIDs.
  • Do not use if you have severe heart failure.
  • Do not use if you have a bleeding disorder (e.g. hemophilia) or are taking blood thinners (e.g. warfarin).
  • Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
  • Do not use if you have asthma and are allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs, or if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredient in this medicine.

  • Stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe skin reactions (e.g., widespread red rash, blisters, skin peeling, sores in mouth/throat/eyes, fever) or signs of a severe allergic reaction (e.g., chest pain, difficulty breathing, swelling of face or throat).
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration; this medicine is for temporary and short-term use without a doctor's prescription.
  • Contact a doctor if you have an infection and your symptoms (such as fever and pain) continue or worsen.
  • This medicine is not suitable for children weighing less than 20 kg.
